CONCERTO - A BEETHOVEN JOURNEY
Leif Ove Andsnes is considered to be one of the top pianists of the age. In this unique film, we witness his four year journey to perform and record the five Beethoven piano concerti. With rare insights into the mind of a world-class pianist and access to life 'on the road' and at home, Andsnes gives a particularly candid view of the world of a contemporary classical musician. Against the wonderful backbone of Leif Ove playing these five pieces, we also track Beethoven's life from new-kid-on-the-block in Vienna to greatest composer alive by the time he writes the 5th concerto.
A transaction fee of £1 per ticket ( maximum £7 ) will be added to the cost of all tickets purchased online. 50p per ticket will be passed to the theatre Restoration Fund, to assist in the cost of ongoing maintenance of our Grade II listed building.
