In 1962 Baltimore, teenager Tracy Turnblad's dream is to dance on The Corney Collins Show, a local TV dance programme which features her college heart-throb Link Larkin.
After learning some groovy dance moves from her new black teenage friends during school detention, Tracy wins a place on the show and becomes an overnight teen sensation. This angers the current dance queen Amber and her evil conniving mother Velma, the TV Station manager.
It’s an award winning fun loving musical packed with songs, so come and see how Tracy sings and dances her way out of trouble.
A transaction fee of £1 per ticket ( maximum £7 ) will be added to the cost of all tickets purchased online. 50p per ticket will be passed to the theatre Restoration Fund, to assist in the cost of ongoing maintenance of our Grade II listed building.
